Santander Universities UK’s mission is to support students from diverse backgrounds into university, work, and self-employment. Collaborating with a large network of university partners, we have spent over ten successful years removing barriers to higher education and, in turn, providing life-changing opportunities to students from across the UK.
Santander Universities UK has partnered with The Open University and FutureLearn, a digital education platform, to create an educational learning programme for students and staff from all UK Universities. The 6-hour course, designed by The Open University, is intended to support students and staff to increase their understanding of Black British history, race, and racism, and how individuals can make a positive difference.
Learners will be able to complete the course in their own time on the FutureLearn platform until 3rd December 2021 and will receive a digital certificate upon completion.
All students who complete the course will be in with the chance of receiving one of 50 £500 Santander Scholarships and invited to attend a thought leadership event with high profile ambassadors virtually or in-person*.
On completion of the course, you will also be able to claim 30 Rise Points by uploading your completion certificate.
*Please note that the allocation of the 50 Santander Scholarships and places at the live in-person event will be selected by random allocation. Please refer to the programme T&Cs for further information.
